Up & Close Encounters
Addo Elephant Park is one of the national parks in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa and stretches over 630 square miles in size. It is the third largest national park in the country. It is home to the entire big 5, and its Elephant are direct descendants from 11 original Elephant from the area.
The Addo Elephant Park is situated roughly 1.5hrs from the lodge, and can easily be done as a day trip for non-hunters or the entire family. Everyone can enjoy a guided game drive and have lunch at the restaurant, overlooking the waterhole; while watching the elephants enjoy a mud bath.
This is a memorable experience which will include spotting various species of wildlife.

I would like to thank Trio’s Hunting Safaris for what was, undoubtedly, a trip of a lifetime
After deciding that South Africa would be the perfect location for a romantic getaway with my wife, finding the right tour company was the biggest challenge.
However, upon arrival we were completely amazed with how welcoming, organized and professional the staff members at Trios Hunting Safaris were, as they tended to our every need from the very first step into the airport.
It only got better from there on – Cape Town and its surroundings completely blew us away with its natural beauty, cultural diversity and unique heritage.
We were treated daily with intelligent, well-spoken guides who balanced their unbelievable knowledge with a sense of humour and spirit that always kept us engaged throughout each and every activity.
The tranquility of the Cape Wine Route, panoramic view of the city from the top of Table Mountain and the eye opening historical trip to Robben Island were but a few of our vivid memories of, what most certainly was, a trip that we will never forget.
I am truly thankful to TRIO’s Hunting Safaris for arranging this awesome experience
I had the most wonderful time at Addo Elephant National Park. I strongly recommend the day trip to anyone who is passionate about nature and would like a thrilling experience.
The game drive was led by guides who were professional, entertaining and very informative, and we were fortunate to view a variety of wildlife species from only meters away.
After the game drive, we enjoyed an exquisite lunch at the restaurant which boasts a magnificent view.
I was beyond impressed!
Myself and three friends also decided to go ziplining after lunch – what an adrenaline rush!
Leon was fantastic throughout catering to our needs, his vast knowledge of wildlife and Africa made our stay even more enjoyable!
My girlfriend and I booked our recent trip to South Africa through Trios Safaris and have nothing but great things to say about the service. Whilst organizing the trip they were extremely helpful giving a variety of options for travel and activities. This made planning the trip so much easier having never been to South Africa before.
Trios made it possible for us to fit so much into a week with it never feeling like a rush. This is exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. From going on a quad bike safari to seeing lions to relaxing at a Spa, elephant viewing in Addo, sunrises on the riverbanks and sand dune expeditions, Trios offered it all.
